Risk Appetite Returns, but Strategy's BTC Sale Stings

Stocks are up more than +0.4% in premarket trading as Wall Street looks to build on last week's gains. Thursday's softer-than-expected jobs report cooled rate-hike expectations and boosted liquidity-sensitive assets, while Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's comments on easing inflation added to the improved risk appetite.

Broadcom Rises on Apple Chip Deal

Broadcom (AVGO) is up +4% in premarket trading today after expanding its long-standing partnership with Apple (AAPL) through 2031. The new multiyear agreement covers custom ASIC silicon products for use across multiple generations of AAPL devices. No additional financial details were disclosed in the companies' regulatory filing. The deal deepens AVGO's foothold in custom silicon as AI-driven chip demand continues to reshape the semiconductor landscape.

Nvidia's Kyber Rack System Delayed

Nvidia (NVDA) is facing a more than 12-month delay to its next-generation Kyber rack-scale architecture, pushing the launch to 2028 from 2027. The setback stems from manufacturing challenges with a specialized circuit board connecting the system's compute trays. A backup plan bolting together current-generation racks was scrapped after cloud partners rejected the design as costly and impractical. NVDA's current Rubin systems remain in full production and begin shipping this fall to major cloud partners.

SK Hynix Files for Nasdaq IPO

SK Hynix plans to offer 177.9M American Depositary Shares in a Nasdaq listing under the ticker "SKHY," with trading set to begin July 10. The offering is expected to raise approximately $28B, directed toward Korean production facility capex and EUV scanner purchases. SK Hynix is a major supplier of high-bandwidth memory chips used in Nvidia's (NVDA) AI processors, competing with Samsung and Micron Technology (MU). Bank of America (BAC), Citigroup (C), Goldman Sachs (GS), and JPMorgan (JPM) are serving as global coordinators.

Texas Investigates StubHub Over Ghost Tickets

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has opened an investigation into StubHub (STUB) over allegations of "ghost ticketing," in which the company allegedly canceled or failed to deliver World Cup tickets fans had already purchased. Paxton said complaints described cancellations coming days or even hours before scheduled events. STUB has blamed the issue on transfer problems within FIFA's ticketing platform rather than its own practices. Paxton urged affected Texans to file complaints as his office pursues accountability.
